Terms of Use
1. Who we are
VineOClock is provided by Praecog LTD, a company registered in England and Wales, with its registered address at 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom ("Praecog", "we", "us"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the VineOClock mobile application (the "App"), available on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please refrain from using the App.
2. Eligibility and age requirements
VineOClock contains educational content about wine, wine-related grape varieties, and alcoholic beverages.
- You must be at least the legal drinking age in your country or region of residence to use the App.
- By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
- The App is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly allow anyone under the applicable legal drinking age to create an account.
3. Your account
- Accessing the application requires an account, created via email or through Google or Apple sign-in.
- You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep it up to date.
- You may request deletion of your account by contacting us through the support contact provided in the application or on this site. We will process your request in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
4. Subscriptions and payments
- VineOClock offers optional premium features through auto-renewing subscriptions ("VineOClock Premium"), billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, whichever platform you subscribed on.
- Prices, billing frequency (monthly or annual), and included features are shown in the App before purchase and may change with notice.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings; we don't have the ability to cancel it for you directly.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their respective policies, not by us directly.
- We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status; see our Privacy Policy for what that involves.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in a way that violates these Terms;
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App, except where permitted by law;
- Interfere with the App's operation, security, or servers (including our API or database);
- Misrepresent your identity or age;
- Scrape, resell, or redistribute the App's content without our permission.
6. Content and intellectual property
- All content in the App (text, images, wine data, graphics, and design) is owned by Praecog or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property law.
- We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
- Wine facts, regional data, and educational content are provided for informational purposes and, to the best of our knowledge, are accurate — but we can't guarantee completeness or fitness for any particular purpose (e.g., professional sommelier certification).
7. Health and responsible drinking
VineOClock is an educational and enthusiast tool. It does not provide medical advice, and nothing in the App should be taken as encouragement to consume alcohol. Please drink responsibly and in accordance with your local laws and personal health circumstances.
8. Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't guarantee the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Praecog is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months before the claim arose.
10. Changes to the App or Terms
We may update the App or these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you in-app or by other reasonable means. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
